We had a large party but were accomadeted quickly. We had a great server who was very attentive, and our food was delicious. We chose Mellow Mushroom because our family has many dietary needs, including vegans,vegetarians, and family members with gluten allergies. They were very mindful with our gluten-free requests. They have a large menu with reasonable prices.

We were in town for a day for the Virginia History day located at a near by museum. Our group decided to eat at Mellow Mushroom (Thankfully they were able to accommodate a group of 13 at the last minute!) and after our experience I believe it was the best choice. A few of the guest sat at the tables and at the bar. The bar experience was amazing. Katie is an experienced bartender who has made the second best spicy Margarita I have ever had. I built my own pizza with green peppers, pepperoni, and ribeye and it was delicious. Will definitely come back when I am in Richmond!
Was here yesterday visiting with my son and daughter. The pizza was delicious and the server was wonderful and attentive. Didn't get her name but she was tall and had net stockings on. Loved her outfit and the atmosphere!!!
Came here for dinner with my parents and boyfriend and we really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere! I love the vibes and decor of the whole restaurant and our server was really nice. Our food was a decent price, came out relatively quickly, and was delicious! Would definitely come back again the next time we visit Richmond
Mellow Mushroom may be my favorite pizza of all time! Patrons will be greeted by an eclectic and vibrant interior, not to mention the friendly and welcoming staff. The menu is full of options, but the star of the show is the Holy Shiitake pizza. Every time I come with a large enough group, we order something else as well as the Holy Shiitake, but I always regret not just ordering only the Holy Shiitake. It's unlike any other pizza I've had before, and one to remember! If you find yourself in Carytown for one meal, I would highly recommend this one!
Wonderful experience at Mellow Mushroom in Richmond! My pizza was delicious. I ordered the pepperoni and Italian sausage. My daughter ordered the buffalo chicken (the price of this pizza was 10 more than the one I ordered). My husband commented that the buffalo chicken pizza wasn’t worth the price. It was a little dry. We all ordered the Caesar salad. It was very good. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I called to verify, and Mellow Mushroom said they have a bathroom on the entry level near the kitchen with wheel chair access. The other main bathrooms are downstairs. But let’s just say, the bathrooms downstairs are very, very nice. I’m particular about bathrooms and even my husband said the men’s bathroom was nice! I really loved this specific Mellow Mushroom. The ambience was nice, the food was awesome, it just had a really good vibe. Highly recommend and hope you’ll consider choosing this restaurant if you’re looking for a pizza place in Richmond!
